WHAT IS THE PROCESS IN MAKING A SCULPTURE?
Sculpting Clay
Learn how to capture the essence of an object and bring it to life with your own hands using stoneware clay.
Adding Glaze
Now that your sculpture has hardened, a mixture of glazes and oxides can be applied to further decorate your piece.
Adding Slip
Decorate your piece with slip, a mixture of clay mixed with pigments, which can be applied on all sides of the sculpture.
Glaze Firing
Now for the final firing! We'll take your finished sculpture to the kiln where it will be fired.
Bisque Firing
After you are happy with your sculpture and it has thoroughly dried out, it will go for a bisque firing in the kiln.
Complete
Once fired in the kiln, we'll bring your finished sculpture back to the studio and notify you that it is ready to pick up!
